The Strandveld Museum is a little gem. The museum has the largest collection of relics of the HMT Birkenhead, that wrecked off Danger Point and several other historical items. The owners are local historians and marvelous story tellers who gladly take you on a trip through time. This is an area of contrast miles of unspoiled beaches; nature reserves with over 1500 species of fynbos; ancient milkwood forests; rocky inlets and spectacular cliffs with views across Walker Bay.Franskraal is also in the heart of the Fynbos biome, home to thousands of plant-species, many of which are some of the rarest on earth.
